Well things have been a bit different then I would've thought they'd be. I found out on Friday that my beloved uncle passed away early that morning. He was 66 years old and was diagnosed with lung cancer in October. I never would've thought that this day would come especially this early. He was such a fighter and a strong man I was sure he'd kick the cancer and be here another 20+ years but it seems God had different plans for him.
It was definitely a hard day for me on Friday. Aaron had to work late so I was home alone all day to think, it's hard to believe he's gone and it'll be even harder come my wedding day and he's not there to tease me. I guess we never know what God has in store for us. I just hope I am meant to have a long happy life with Aaron. Hopefully I will accept this and move on soon. I will never forget my Uncle Pete but I do need to live my life.
My chaotic, beautiful life! Full of crafts, homemade food, love, family, and friends!

Happy New Year!
Hey everyone! Well 2012 is finally here and of course it couldn't come without a few hiccups.
So I found out Tuesday, December 20th that come January 1st I would no longer have a job. It was a blow I wasn't completely expecting but I also wasn't shocked either. The loss of the job does put a little strain on the wedding but nothing Aaron and I can't work out. Spending will be a little tighter until we can figure something out but it doesn't sound like I will have a job at all this semester due to student teaching. No one wants hire someone who can only work after 5:00 pm and only around 10 to 15 hours a week. So until we find out what student teaching will be like I will be unemployed for the first time in a long time.
Then of course Aaron has to come down with the stomach flu on Thursday. He wasn't feeling well at all on Thursday or Friday but was feeling back to normal Saturday so we could head down to Sioux City to bring in the New Year with our friends. The night was very uneventful and I probably could've fell asleep around 10:30 but Aaron said I needed to stay up to ring in the New Year.
It has been a very uneventful couple of weeks which is fine for me. After this summer I have really learned to enjoy the quiet, to me "No news is good news!"
The good thing about all of this is I now have more time to craft and clean before school starts again. I will keep you posted!
